Pet Stylist
Tri State Pet Care is looking to add to our Grooming Team! Full Time and Part Time positions available.
We are looking for the right person who is passionate about grooming, professional, friendly, motivated, and enjoys a relaxed working environment!
Qualifications:
- Must have professional grooming training and experience.
- Will need to be comfortable with AKC standard clips as well as requests by the pet parent.
- Previous salon experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for periods at a time.
- Will need to bring your own grooming tools. All other equipment is provided.
- Must be punctual with reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Be capable of grooming 6-8 dogs per day.
- Include but are not limited to bathing, blow-drying, brushing, haircutting, nail trimming & Dremel, ear cleaning, and plucking.
- Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients, along with general upkeep of the grooming salon.

Kennel Attendant
Tri State Pet Care is looking to add to our team! Part time positions are available. Available shifts are Friday through Monday during our off season with a potential for 10-20 hours. Hours will increase to 20-30 during peak dates and/or summertime.
Kennel Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about animal behavior and traits, who is able to recognize medical crisis in animals, who strives to provide the upmost cleanliness standards and care here at our quickly growing facility.
Some skills we look for are as follows;
1) Hardworking and able to work under fast-paced and high pressure situations.
2) Able to multitask.
4) Professional communication skills - Oral and written.
5) Kind and outspoken (not shy, comfortable chatting with clients.)
6) Comfortable with and knows the way around a computer - Particularly google calendar and quickbooks.
7) Comfortable answering the phone to help clients, schedule grooming appointments, and make reservations.
9) Comfortable handling cash drawer and credit card machine.
10) Organized!
11) Able to prioritize client service before busywork.
12) Both a team player and self-motivated - Should be able to take instructions from shift supervisors but also be able to stay self-motivated while cleaning and tending to their assigned areas.
13) Willing to be trained and able to receive and incorporate constructive feedback.
14) Knowledge of grooming, basic veterinary needs and medical conditions, canine behavior.
15) Can handle cleaning animal waste including but not limited to feces, urine, vomit, and other animal bodily fluids.

Maintenance / Farm Hand
Tri State Pet Care is looking to add to our team! We are looking for a handy man who can provide general facility maintenance to our property and business. We are looking to fill a part time position roughly 15-30 hours per week. Beginning pay at $13 per hour with an evaluation after 30 days.
Duties can include but are not limited to:
1) Hanging and maintaining shade cloth
2) Providing hay and general feeding to farm animal
3) Small engine maintenance
4) Snow removal
5) Mowing and general lawn car
6) AC vent changing and general maintenance
7) Minor plumbing and electrical maintenance
8) Kennel / grooming repair
9) Skid steer operating

The purpose of Tri State Pet Care is to provide a safe, fun, and a stimulating social environment for dogs 7-days a week. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all guests comply with the following rules and regulations.
AGE
All dogs must be at least 12 weeks of age or older. All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.
VACCINATIONS
All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof of Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations. Rabies is required for puppies over 4 months of age.
MULTI-PET SHARING A KENNEL
If you have multiple pets of the opposite genders and both are not spayed/neutered, the MUST lodge separately. We will not accommodate them sharing a kennel during their stay with us. We will not be responsible for vet bills related to breeding and/or pregnancy.
HEALTH
All dogs must be in good health. Owners will certify their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Upon admission, all dogs must be free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted.
BEHAVIOR
All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog(s). Please remember, your pet will be spending time with other pets and the safety and health of all animals is our main concern.
SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS
Drop off and pick up time are all done by appointment only between 9am-11:00am and 4:30pm-6pm. We understand that travel plans may change, so we require a 2-hour call advance with arrival time. All reservations sent in the same day (less than 24 hours notice) will be subject to an additional surcharge of $15. If you come without an appointment, we may not be able to provide service and are not responsible for incurred charges.
